What will those hipsters think of next?
Wait. Close The Hatch offers a Neurosis-inspired post-sludge? Are the hipsters into that now too?
Bah. Who gives a piss? That cephalopod should be on a t shirt and the tunes are good. Click the title link to download the free EP.
Wholly new to me because I’ve only heard of a few of these bands and haven’t listened to any of them.
Klonosphere is a French promoter and since the French have been killing it lately, I’m sure this will introduce me (and you) to some great bands.

Walden is another one of those outfits serving up atmospheric, folksy black metal or Cascadian Black Metal. That’s not a bad thing. In fact, …Isolation is quite good but be prepared, it is a rough recording.
It’s available at the duo’s Bandcamp for the humble price of free. Check it out.

Why bother with a clever-ish title? Free sells itself.

Yep, that says “Ihsahn.” Yep, that says “world premiere.”

According to The Amenta, a proposed Facebook ad featuring the above album cover of the group’s forthcoming EP, Chokehold, was rejected for being “too extreme.”
Hell, that sounds like a selling point. Imagine, “The Amenta: Too extreme for Facebook!” Lemonade from lemons, anyone?

Crucial, gang. Crucial.

I hope Serious Beak gets tons of attention because they’re doing everything so incredibly right.
First of all, the digital copy of their latest, Huxwhukw, is available for “name your own” price.
Second, they state the brand of t-shirt that’s emblazoned with the rad cover art from Huxwhukw. I wish EVERY band did that! No wonder it’s sold out.
Third, the raw audio from Huxwhukw is also available for free download for fans to remix. The band was accepting fan remix submissions up to the first of this month with the intent to release the best in a special digital compilation, later!
